Step One – Pressure Wash
All surfaces will be cleaned with an industrial pressure washer,
which will remove all defective paint materials, algae, mould and
dirt etc.
If algae or mould are present treat with fungicide. |
 |
|
Step Two - Mask & Repair
All areas not to be treated are masked.
All defective/damaged surfaces are removed and repaired with
appropriate materials; great care is taken to achieve invisible
repairs.
All major cracks are ground out and
filled with a two part epoxy resin. |
 |
|
Step Three - Tyrol Coat
All areas are given a light coat with a Tyrol gun; this ensures a
100% uniform finish. |
 |
|
Step Four - PVA Bagging Coat
The bagging coat is a strong PVA adhesive mixed with cement; applied
to ensure bonding and adhesion. |
 |
|
Step Five - Primer/Slush Coat
Slush is a high performance base coat, applied by masonry brush or
roller; this penetrates into the surface providing excellent
adhesion and weatherproofing. |
 |
|
Step Six - Final Spray Coat
Applied by specialist spray equipment, Tex-Gard Classic is sprayed
onto the surfaces at up to 100 lbs pressure.
An average of 1 litre of material is applied per square metre.
Tex-Gard Classic is up to twenty times thicker than conventional
paint. |
